Megan van Eeden, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Small Animal Internist

Dr. Megan van Eeden is a dedicated Small Animal Internist with a passion for animal care that began in grade school. She earned her BS in Animal Science with a minor in Business from Cornell University, where she also ran track and field and met her husband. Following her undergraduate studies, she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in California.

Dr. van Eeden has extensive training and experience in veterinary medicine. She completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Aurora, followed by a specialized Internal Medicine internship in California. She then went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Missouri in July 2019. She holds board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) in Small Animal Internal Medicine (SAIM).

Originally aspiring to be an equine veterinarian, Dr. van Eeden shifted her focus to small animals while continuing to enjoy horses as a beloved hobby. Her professional interests include respiratory medicine and immune-mediated diseases, and she takes pleasure in the diverse cases that internal medicine presents.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. van Eeden is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She loves spending weekends with her family—her husband, toddler, two exceptional dogs, one opinionated cat, and three amazing horses. They enjoy going to the beach, being near the water, horseback riding, working out, camping, and adventuring whenever possible.

Dr. van Eeden’s combination of extensive education, hands-on experience, and personal dedication to animal care sets her apart in the field of veterinary medicine, and we are thrilled to welcome her back to our team at CVRC.
