Dr. Garnett grew up in northeast Ohio and attended The Ohio State University for his undergraduate degree. He then attended veterinary school at Ross University. After obtaining his veterinary degree, he completed a rotating internship at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists in NYC and a surgical residency at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron, Ohio. He then moved to the Washington DC area and worked as the primary surgeon at Dogs and Cats Veterinary Referral. In 2019 he made the move to Charleston and joined the team at CVRC.
Dr. Garnett enjoys all aspects of surgery, and he has a particular interest in arthroscopy, treating cranial cruciate ligament disease/injury and surgical oncology. He is member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Society of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery, Veterinary Orthopedic Society and Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology.
Dr. Garnett resides in the Charleston area with his wife, children and pets. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, any outdoor activity and watching college football - Go Buckeyes!
