Dr. Michelle Panek’s passions lie in emergency medicine. Dr. Panek joined Charleston Veterinary Referral Center in 2021. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and animal science from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Dr. Panek graduated from University of Illinois with her Veterinary Medicine degree. Upon graduating in 2019, she started an emergency and critical care specialty internship at Pet+ER in Maryland. She practiced emergency medicine for 2 years prior to joining our team. Dr. Panek recently won our emergency doctor of the year award! She brings a passion for connecting with families during a stressful time. She is especially interested in performing surgeries and stabilizing gastrointestinal and cardiac patients.
When Dr. Michelle Panek isn’t treating her patients, she can be found relaxing on the beach, exploring Charleston’s food scene, traveling, or spending quality time with her family. She shares her home with her husband, Wesley, her two dogs (Wilson, a golden retriever and Reese, a mini labradoodle), and their cat (Cindy).
